External SAE Integration

The SAEs panel lets you download pre-trained SAEs from HuggingFace:

SAE Panel — Browse downloaded and imported SAEs

  • Multi-select downloads: Browse SAE repositories and select multiple SAEs at once
  • Grouped preview: Downloads are organized by directory structure
  • Compatibility check: miStudio validates SAE dimensions against the loaded model
  • Attach to model: Once downloaded, attach an SAE to the corresponding model layer for extraction or steering

Downloading Pre-Trained SAEs​

Enter a HuggingFace repository ID and preview the available SAE files before downloading:
